Xpeng P7+ electric sedan expands globally with new EREV configuration
Xpeng has officially begun large-scale international deliveries of its updated P7+ electric sedan, which was launched earlier this year in China and Europe. The model is now available in both all-electric and EREV (extended-range electric vehicle) configurations, broadening its market appeal.
Updates and Expanded Powertrain Options
Initially, the P7+ debuted in China in 2024 as a fully electric sedan. In January 2026, Xpeng introduced the updated version, adding an EREV option that extends range via an onboard generator. The European launch followed on January 9, with the company stating the model will be sold in 36 countries and regions. Pricing in China starts from 186,800 yuan for both versions, positioning the P7+ as one of the more affordable global electric alternatives in its class.
European Production Boosts Export Capabilities
Xpeng has set up production for the P7+ at a plant in Graz, Austria, where the updated model underwent pilot production in early January. This European localization helps accelerate deliveries, navigate tariff barriers, and establish supply chains closer to key markets. In January, the vehicle reached the milestone of 100,000 units produced in just 14 months since production began.
Xpeng's Global Strategy Gains Momentum
Despite a dip in January deliveries to 20,011 vehicles, Xpeng has set an ambitious target of selling 550,000 to 600,000 cars in 2026. The company's sales network already exceeds 1,000 outlets across 60 countries, and Xpeng plans to establish local overseas supply chains soon to enhance the efficiency and resilience of its international operations.
Overall, the launch of large-scale exports for the updated P7+ underscores Xpeng's push to become a global player in the electric vehicle segment. With European assembly, a diversified powertrain lineup, and competitive pricing, the model is well-positioned to capture significant market share across multiple regions.
