Carlisle Ford Nationals 2026 features Mustang debut and classic car displays

The organizers of the Carlisle Ford Nationals 2026 have announced a special exhibit dedicated to the 1964 New York World's Fair, where the Ford Mustang made its official debut. At the fair, visitors could "ride" various Ford models on the Ford Skyway attraction, including the Mustang, as well as the Fairlane, Galaxie, and Lincoln Continental.

In 2026, the festival (June 5–7) will feature a display of cars that evoke the Ford Magic Skyway lineup. This will include models like the Mustang, Thunderbird, Continental, Falcon, Comet, and others, alongside collectibles from that era. A Magic Skyway Parade is scheduled for Friday, showcasing some of these vehicles. Owners of cars connected to the Magic Skyway or fitting the theme can apply to participate.

The event will also gather all four Ford Taurus SHO race cars from the IMSA Firehawk series, which were themed after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as part of the Taurus' 40th anniversary celebration. A separate program will mark the 60th anniversary of the Ford Bronco, featuring a covered exhibition of historical versions, special projects, and Stroppe models. The 50th anniversary of the Starsky and Hutch Ford Torino will be recognized too, with a dedicated area and a Zebra 3 parade planned for these cars.

Overall, the site is expected to host over 3,000 vehicles from Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and the brand's European models, along with parts, tools, and collectibles.
