Updated Mercedes-Benz S-Class short-wheelbase prices in Europe

Mercedes-Benz has released the full European price list for the updated short-wheelbase S-Class. While the model's starting prices were previously known, the cost of all trim levels and a comparison with the Long version are now available.

The long-wheelbase S-Class (Long) is 11 cm longer and remains the most popular choice. However, the short version might be more practical for those who often drive themselves: extra rear passenger space isn't an advantage in this case, and the reduced length makes parking and fitting into tight spots easier.

The price difference between the short and long versions depends on the powertrain and can reach up to €404 for each additional centimeter of length. The smallest premium is for the plug-in hybrid, where the Long version costs €3,027 extra (for example, the S450e and S580e 4Matic). The largest difference is recorded for the S450d 4Matic at €4,443.

Interestingly, even the S580 4Matic with a 537-hp V8 is available with the short body. Prices for the short version start at €136,361 (S450e) and go up to €220,517 (S580 4Matic). For comparison, the equivalent S580 4Matic Long costs €224,136.
