Škoda surpasses 1 million vehicles in 2025 with strong EV sales
Škoda finished 2025 on a strong note, surpassing the one-million mark for the first time in six years. According to SPEEDME.RU, total production reached 1,065,000 vehicles, representing growth of around 15 percent compared to the previous year. The group's key hub was once again Mladá Boleslav, where over 605,000 cars were assembled and more than 329,000 battery systems for Škoda EVs and other Volkswagen Group models were produced.
The strategic importance of Škoda's facilities is underscored by impressive figures: over one million transmissions and more than 500,000 engines manufactured in a year. Mladá Boleslav also remains the only plant in the group where combustion-engine and electric vehicles are assembled on the same line—a testament to high production flexibility and technological maturity.
Electrification was the main growth driver. The new compact Elroq saw 112,500 units sold in its first year of series production, while the larger Enyaq added roughly 77,000 more. These models formed the foundation for a steady increase in the share of electric vehicles within the overall production structure.
At the same time, Škoda strengthened its position in foreign markets. The plant in Kvasiny boosted output to 301,500 cars. In India, production doubled to 73,800 vehicles thanks to the success of the Kylaq crossover. The company also continued its expansion in Southeast Asia, launching an assembly facility in Vietnam where 2,500 Slavia and Kushaq models rolled off the line.
