Nissan vehicles win Best Car and Best SUV in 2026 awards

Two Nissan vehicles have emerged as winners in their respective categories according to the Cars.com "Best of the Best 2026" awards. The 2026 Nissan Armada was named the Best SUV of 2026, while the all-new 2026 Nissan LEAF took home the title of Best Car of 2026 from Cars.com. This announcement comes from the Japanese automaker's press office.

Mike Hanley, senior editor of road testing at Cars.com, highlighted that the all-new Nissan LEAF earned the Best Car award by proving that affordable electric vehicle ownership can be rewarding, thanks to its impressive range, advanced technology, and exceptional value. He added that the Nissan Armada secured the Best SUV award for its rare blend of comfort, safety systems, off-road capability, and versatility.

The Cars.com Best Car of 2026 award is selected from over 40 all-new or refreshed models. In choosing the winner, Cars.com experts evaluate three key criteria: quality, innovation, and value.

The Cars.com "Best of the Best" program includes six categories: Best Car, Best Pickup, Best Electric Vehicle, Best SUV, Best Luxury Car, and Best Family Car. Experts at Cars.com review all 2026 model-year vehicles within each category to determine the six award recipients.
