Citroen Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision: a surf-minded urban EV

Citroen has unveiled a special take on its compact electric Ami — the Buggy Rip Curl Vision. Developed with Australian brand Rip Curl and timed to the finals of the Rip Curl Grom Search surfing competition on the French coast, the concept showcases a youthful, surf‑minded collaboration without straying from the car’s urban brief.

This iteration is aimed at young drivers from 15 years old in certain EU countries and reaches a top speed of up to 45 km/h. The concept adds unique accessories for surfing enthusiasts: floor mats made from recycled wetsuits, a portable shower, a waterproof gear bag, and a foldable sealed compartment. There are mounts for boards on the roof and along the sides, and a branded surfboard with the Citroen x Rip Curl logo is included.

The Citroen Ami Buggy Rip Curl Vision underlines the brand’s eco‑friendly, sporty streak, blending style, practicality, and functionality. The surf‑focused details feel thoughtfully chosen, giving the minimalist Ami a playful, purpose‑driven twist that makes it an appealing option among urban electric cars.
