Starting February 14, 2026, Tesla owners will no longer be able to purchase the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature as a one-time, permanent option.

Instead, the company will shift to an exclusive monthly subscription plan for FSD access, priced at a fixed $99 per month. Until now, customers could buy the feature outright for $8,000.

This move aims to boost adoption, particularly among drivers who are uncertain about the system's value. The subscription model lets users test FSD gradually without a large upfront investment.

There's speculation that Tesla might introduce a tiered pricing structure for FSD, allowing owners to select features that best suit their needs.
