Citroën commits to unique design with upcoming C4 and innovations
Citroën intends to maintain its reputation as a brand with an unconventional approach to design. CEO Xavier Chardon stated that the brand does not aim to resemble Toyota or Volkswagen and is willing to take risks for originality. Management emphasizes that avoiding conservative solutions is crucial for Citroën.
Chief designer Pierre Leclerc noted that the brand will continue to shift its styling with each new launch. He cited the new C3 generation, which differs significantly from its predecessor, along with the C3 Aircross and the electric quadricycle Ami as examples. These models demonstrate the brand's commitment to experimentation within the Stellantis group.
The next important premiere will be the new C4, including the e-C4 version. The debut is expected this year. According to company representatives, the model will feature bold design and won't resemble competitors in the segment. Production may be set up in Spain or Morocco, though a final decision hasn't been confirmed yet.
Overall, Citroën's new showroom offerings will continue to pursue visual individuality in a highly competitive market.
