2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC with EQ Technology spied: 939 hp electric SUV with active rear spoiler

Mercedes is preparing to launch a new electric iteration of the GLC under the AMG sub-brand. Badged GLC with EQ Technology and slated as a 2027 model, it is presented as a fully electric luxury SUV with a clear focus on dynamics and advanced systems, aiming to blend pace with polish.

Spy photos from Europe reveal a test prototype sporting an active rear spoiler that stabilizes the body at speed and can function as an aerodynamic brake. Compared with the standard GLC 400 4MATIC, the newcomer stands out with sportier wheels, reshaped bumpers, and a Panamericana-style grille. The active aero signals intent: this isn’t just about looks, but about keeping the SUV planted when it matters.

Inside, the cabin features a two-tone treatment with sport seats and a 39-inch Hyperscreen. According to unofficial information, the crossover is expected to use a tri-motor setup with up to 939 hp and support fast charging at up to 400 kW. On paper, that spec leans hard into performance and technology, promising an experience that prioritizes response and control.

This model will join the new releases of 2026, setting its sights on the BMW iX3 M and Audi Q6 e-tron RS and underscoring AMG’s transition into the realm of high-performance electric vehicles.
