McLaren Solomon concept: a hybrid supercar render for 2028

Against the backdrop of McLaren's Formula 1 success and the development of new models, a striking render of the 2028 McLaren Solomon has emerged online. Created by industrial designer Giorgi Tedoradze, this concept envisions a hybrid supercar that could slot between the 750S and the flagship W1.

The Solomon features McLaren's signature styling, with aggressive aerodynamics, prominent air intakes, and a low-slung silhouette. In this latest render, the supercar appears in a white body with red and black accents. According to the designer's vision, the model could be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a hybrid system using two electric motors, delivering a combined output of around 1,100 horsepower.

That level of performance would put it in competition with the Lamborghini Revuelto (1,001 hp) and a hypothetical Ferrari 849 Testarossa. A hybrid all-wheel-drive system would be a natural evolution of technologies already seen in the P1, Artura, and the upcoming W1.

McLaren has not officially confirmed such a project, but the gap between the 750S and W1 remains unfilled. Given tightening regulations and the shift toward electrification, a 2028 supercar with hybrid architecture seems like a plausible scenario.

Overall, the McLaren Solomon is a bold digital fantasy, but the idea of an intermediate hybrid supercar makes sense. For the British brand, maintaining a balance between technological progress and driver appeal is crucial to staying at the top of the segment.
