Dacia Spring 2026 model year updates and specifications

Dacia has opened orders for the Spring 2026 model year. The compact electric vehicle retains its LFP battery with a capacity of 24.3 kWh, but receives important technical refinements and a more powerful Extreme version.

The base Expression, Business, and Cargo trims come with a 50 kW (75 hp) motor. The Extreme version delivers 75 kW (about 100 hp), which, given a curb weight just over 1,000 kg, provides a ratio of around 10 kg per horsepower. This makes the model noticeably more dynamic in urban driving.

Engineers have increased structural rigidity using a cell-to-pack scheme, added a stabilizer bar, and revised suspension settings. The braking system has also been improved. DC fast charging has been boosted from 30 kW to 40 kW.

Energy consumption is claimed at 12.4 kWh/100 km, with a range of 225–226 km depending on the version. Factoring in subsidies from Plan Auto+, the starting price is €11,815, positioning the Spring as one of Europe's most affordable electric cars.

Its main competitors remain the Leapmotor T03, BYD Dolphin Surf, and Citroën e-C3, which starts from €11,700 but offers a shorter range.
