General Motors posts 28% surge in Middle East full-size SUV sales
General Motors recorded a 28% increase in sales for this vehicle category across the Middle East. Notably, the upward trend stretches across all three of the company’s brands—Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac.
The strongest momentum came from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, where buyers registered the highest number of new full-size SUVs from the American manufacturer.
The president of General Motors’ Africa and Middle East operations commented on the trend, noting a shift in consumer preferences toward models that combine power, reliability, and advanced technology.
Among the most sought-after models are the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade. These vehicles appeal to demanding customers with their imposing size, high comfort levels, sophisticated tech, and strong capability—qualities that align neatly with driving conditions across the Middle East.
