Mercedes GLB 200 electric crossover expands lineup with EQ technology

Mercedes-Benz has expanded its GLB electric crossover lineup with EQ technology by introducing a more affordable GLB 200 variant. This new version lowers the starting price by approximately €5,500.

In this new generation, the brand has moved away from the separate EQB nameplate. Instead, electric versions now fall under the GLB family with the "EQ-technology" designation. Previously, the most accessible option was the GLB 250+, starting at €57,184.

The new base GLB 200 comes with a 224-horsepower electric motor and a 58 kWh battery, offering a maximum range of up to 430 km. The higher-end GLB 250+ features an 85 kWh battery, a 272-horsepower motor, and a range of up to 632 km.

Priced from €51,739, the GLB 200 is available in Business Solution, Business Solution Luxury, and Business Solution AMG trims. This expansion makes the electric crossover more accessible to buyers. The new model is also among the 2026 vehicles broadening the selection of electric options in the compact SUV segment.
