Leapmotor plans pickup truck for work and active recreation

According to a company representative, while Leapmotor—51% owned by Stellantis—is focusing its efforts on developing premium passenger vehicles, including popular C11 sedans and T03 crossovers, management is also seriously considering launching a specialized commercial version: a pickup truck designed exclusively for work and active recreation.

This decision stems from growing interest among Australian car owners in such vehicles, as pickup trucks have been at peak popularity for several consecutive years.

It’s noted that involvement in developing vehicles sold outside China means the Leapmotor pickup could be based on technology and design from other brands within Stellantis.

Stellantis offers a wide range of vehicles, including pickups from brands like Jeep and Ram.
