Volkswagen Amarok 2026 lineup: new Dark Label V6 and W600 variants

Volkswagen has expanded its Amarok pickup lineup for the 2026 model year in the Australian market with two new limited-edition variants: the Dark Label V6 and the W600. Both are designed to strengthen the model's position and offer buyers more expressive flagship options.

The Amarok Dark Label V6 will be limited to just 200 units. It features distinctive exterior elements, including 20-inch matte-black alloy wheels, darkened IQ.Light LED matrix headlights, dark taillights, a black sports bar, and black exterior trim accents. The pickup also comes with a protective bedliner and a decorative sticker package.

The second newcomer, the Amarok W600, was developed in collaboration with Walkinshaw Automotive Group. This version includes modifications tailored for Australian operating conditions.

For the 2026 Amarok lineup, the V6 engine takes center stage. Most trims, including PanAmericana, Aventura, Dark Label, and W600, are powered by the 3.0 TDI600 diesel engine. The range also introduces a new Amarok Style version, which features a 2.3 TSI452 gasoline engine and the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.

Beyond the model updates, the Amarok will once again serve as the official support vehicle for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.
