Toyota electric vehicle discounts and new features for 2026 models
Toyota has launched updated versions of its bZ, C-HR, and bZ Woodland electric vehicles, immediately offering substantial discounts to offset the loss of the federal $7,500 tax credit. The most attractive deal applies to the 2026 bZ model, featuring a purchase discount of up to $5,000. Financing options include a 0% APR for 72 months with an additional $6,000 bonus, while a lease option brings the monthly payment down to $309 thanks to a $7,000 incentive.
This effectively lowers the bZ's starting price from around $35,000 to approximately $30,000, putting it in closer competition with the Nissan Leaf. However, Toyota counters with a more spacious interior, improved charging speed, and a range of up to 500 km from its 74.7 kWh battery.
The 338 hp AWD variant has also seen a significant price reduction, in some cases dropping to around $35,000. The updated model now supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes and features a new NACS port for direct access to the Tesla Supercharger network.
The bZ Woodland, an electric station wagon with off-road styling, also benefits from incentive programs. Buyers can choose between 0% APR financing for 72 months with a $3,500 bonus or a straight $5,000 purchase discount. This brings the model's cost down to roughly $40,000, offering 375 hp and an EPA-estimated range of 450 km.
The compact electric C-HR, with an MSRP of $37,000, qualifies for lease discounts of up to $7,000 and is also available with zero-percent financing.
For now, these full terms are only available in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, though dealers in other states are reportedly offering similar programs.
