Alfa Romeo future model lineup and release plans

Alfa Romeo is considering expanding its model lineup in the coming years. The core models of the future range will be the next-generation Stelvio crossover and Giulia sedan, with their debut expected in 2028.

Before that, the company may introduce a successor to the Tonale crossover. According to sources, the model is planned for release between late 2027 and 2028. Production is expected at the Melfi plant on the STLA Medium platform. Preliminary data suggests the new vehicle will be over 4.6 meters long and feature a more sporty and aerodynamic design. A Quadrifoglio version is under discussion.

The increased dimensions of the future Tonale successor could highlight the existing gap between the Junior and Tonale models. Earlier rumors mentioned the development of a compact car around 4.3 meters long to fill this niche, likely a crossover.

Separately, a second project under the BottegaFuoriserie program, developed jointly with Maserati, is being discussed. Possible options include new versions of the Duetto or GTV.

The platform for future models remains an open question. Earlier reports suggested possible use of STLA Large, but new rumors point to a return of the upgraded Giorgio Evo platform for the next-generation Stelvio and Giulia. These upcoming models should clarify the brand's strategy in the coming months.
