Changan unveils four new models in Mexico, including crossovers and sedan
Chinese automaker Changan has launched four new models in Mexico. The lineup includes the Changan Alsvin PLUS sedan and three crossovers: the CS35 MAX, the updated CS55 PLUS, and the flagship CS75 PLUS.
The unveiling was accompanied by extensive test drives as part of the Changan Global Testing Season program. Over 150 dealers, investors, and journalists covered approximately 287 kilometers along a route across the Yucatán Peninsula, from Cancún to Playa del Carmen. The testing took place on various road types, from highways to rural and coastal stretches.
These new models are equipped with BlueCore 3.0 family engines and a seven-speed DCT robotic transmission. The crossovers feature a suite of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, collision warning, and automatic braking.
Inside, the cabins boast digital panels with multiple displays, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control, and over-the-air updates. Higher-end models also offer ventilated seats, panoramic displays, and enhanced multimedia features.
This expansion comes amid rapid sales growth for the brand in the region. In 2025, Changan's sales in Latin America surged by more than 56%, with Mexico seeing an impressive 184% jump. The company is also opening a new parts warehouse spanning over 8,000 square meters, which should enhance service support and strengthen its position in the local market.
