Volvo discontinues EX30 EV sales in the U.S. market
Volvo is discontinuing sales of its most affordable electric vehicle in the American market. The EX30 crossover will be pulled from U.S. sales after the 2026 model year ends.
Brand dealers have been informed that production for the U.S. market will continue only until summer 2026. All existing orders will be fulfilled, but dealers can place new orders only until March 20.
Volvo explains the decision as part of a revised business strategy. Company representatives stated that dropping the model is due to changing market conditions and financial factors affecting the EX30's sales prospects in the U.S. However, the electric crossover will continue to be sold in other markets, such as Canada and Mexico.
Volvo also emphasized that its electric lineup development in the U.S. will continue. In the near future, the company plans to launch a new electric crossover, the EX60, slated for release this year. Meanwhile, the flagship EX90 has already received updates for the 2026 model year.
The company does not rule out that the EX30 might return to the American market in the future, but any final decision will depend on further developments in the electric vehicle market.
