2027 Nissan Rogue e-Power hybrid: renders, specs, and market impact
The future of one of Nissan's most popular crossovers is becoming clearer. Unofficial renders of the new 2027 model year Nissan Rogue (also known as the X-Trail) have surfaced online, based on teasers and insider information. The images suggest the crossover will retain its recognizable silhouette but adopt a more modern appearance in line with the brand's latest models.
Vibrant exterior and interior colors are a particular focus, aimed at attracting a younger audience. The main technical innovation will be the e-Power system—a hybrid that cannot be plugged in. It uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine as a generator and an electric motor to drive the wheels, with a combined output of around 200 horsepower.
This new generation is expected to arrive in 2027, competing with the Toyota RAV4 and other popular SUVs. For Nissan, this is a key model in the U.S. market, so the stakes are especially high. Against the backdrop of market transformation, such hybrid solutions represent a compromise for those not yet ready to fully switch to electric vehicles but who want to reduce fuel consumption.
Nissan is betting on a proven formula: refreshed design plus an efficient hybrid. If the company can keep the price competitive, the Rogue should remain a leader in its segment.
