AEV introduces reinforced front-end protection for Chevrolet Silverado HD
American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has introduced a reinforced front-end protection system for the 2024 and newer Chevrolet Silverado HD pickup. This new component is designed specifically for models equipped with AEV's signature bumper, as found on the ZR2 Bison trim.
The structure aims to safeguard critical components during off-road driving or potential collisions with obstacles and wildlife. Mounted directly to the reinforced steel bumper, the brush guard helps distribute impact forces, reducing the risk of damage to the radiator, headlights, and cooling system.
Constructed from steel tubing up to 76 mm in diameter with additional reinforcement and anti-corrosion coating, it also maintains compatibility with the front camera and supports adding up to two AEV 7000-series auxiliary lights. Weighing around 41 kg, installation takes about eight hours and requires some drilling. The price is set at $1,950.
Such upgrades are common in automotive tuning focused on enhancing vehicle durability for demanding conditions.
