Jeep Wrangler Commando: limited military off-roader revealed

Jeep has unveiled a special take on its iconic off-roader: the Wrangler Commando. Built exclusively for military personnel and veterans, it blends the brand’s hallmark capability with U.S. Army-inspired detailing. Pricing starts at $69,995, and the concept taps into Jeep’s wartime heritage while speaking to modern expectations.

Under the hood, the Commando carries a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 rated at 470 hp. For those who want more, a Whipple supercharged setup lifts output to 705 hp. Power goes through an eight-speed automatic, and four-wheel drive offers electronically selectable modes for varying terrain.

The off-road hardware is serious right out of the box: a JKS suspension with nearly 9 cm of lift, FOX 3.0 shocks with external reservoirs, and massive 37-inch Nitto Mud Terrain tires on 17-inch wheels with beadlock capability. The spec sheet reads like a wish list for trail diehards.

Design cues underline the mission-ready theme: a matte 41 Paint finish, reinforced fenders, tube doors, an LED light bar, and COMMANDO emblems create a purposeful, military-toned look. Inside, there are leather seats with embroidery, a digital rearview mirror, and mounting points for gear—useful touches that feel more functional than flashy.

According to 32CARS.RU, only 250 units will be built. The Wrangler Commando seats five, carries an 81-liter fuel tank, and comes with a three-year/60,000-km warranty. It’s a focused off-roader aimed at those who expect to prevail both on the trail and beyond the pavement.
