Ford F-150 sales in Australia continue despite recalls, Super Duty not planned

Ford officially began exporting the Ford F-150 to Australia in 2023, and despite a rocky start marked by mass recalls, the popular pickup will continue to be sold in the country. However, this does not mean the Ford Super Duty will join the F-150.

For now, the company has decided against introducing the heavy-duty version of its popular vehicle family—the Ford Super Duty—to the local market. The reason lies in the weak interest from potential Australian consumers in large commercial vehicles of this type.

Furthermore, the tightening of the New Vehicle Emissions Standard (NVES) significantly complicates the sales prospects for large trucks in the Australian market. The new, stricter emissions regulations will make it technically difficult to introduce such vehicles in the near future.
