Fiat Uno revival: New model coming in 2028 for Latin America

Stellantis is preparing to bring back one of FIAT's most iconic models—the successor to the Uno. The new car is expected by 2028 and will primarily target Latin American markets, where the model has historically enjoyed strong demand.

Where and for whom the model is being created

Brazil and other regional countries will be the main markets, as the FIAT Uno remained popular there for a long time and saw several generations. Today, its role is filled by the budget-friendly FIAT Mobi, which is set to make way for the newcomer.

Technical base and format

The new vehicle is being developed under the internal code F1X. It will be a compact hatchback with increased ground clearance—essentially a blend of a city car and a crossover.

It will be based on the CMP platform, already used in models like the Citroën C3 and the new FIAT Grande Panda. This move should help cut costs and streamline production.
