Huajing S SUV with Huawei HarmonyOS and hybrid system unveiled

China has unveiled the new flagship Huajing S SUV, a product of the collaboration between SAIC-GM-Wuling and Huawei. This six-seat crossover is positioned as a tech-focused vehicle, packing cutting-edge solutions right from the start.

The standout feature is its full suite of Huawei technologies. All Huajing S versions come with the HarmonyOS multimedia system and the ADS Pro intelligent driving system. Additionally, the car debuts the Limera in-cabin LiDAR system, which enhances interaction and safety capabilities.

Inside, the focus is on passenger comfort: the 2+2+2 layout prioritizes space and convenience, with a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen available for rear rows—a feature typically found in premium segments.

Underpinning it all is a new hybrid system with a CATL battery. It uses an advanced "super-hybrid" technology, delivering an electric-only range of over 400 km and support for ultra-fast charging. Innovations like combined lithium-sodium cells and an improved battery management system are also part of the package. The official launch is set for April 7, where further specifications and pricing will be revealed.

The Huajing S exemplifies the rapid evolution of Chinese SUVs, where digital tech and comfort play key roles. It signals that the future of SUVs is already here—not just as cars, but as full-fledged digital platforms on wheels.
