New Rolls-Royce electric SUV with split hood design and 800 km range

Rolls-Royce is continuing development of its second electric SUV, which will serve as an alternative to the Cullinan. New spy photos have revealed a key feature of the model—an unusual front-end design that has been confirmed by a patent.

The standout detail is a hood split into two sections. It opens in sections, reminiscent of premium body solutions from the past, but executed in a modern format. A patent for this design was filed by BMW back in 2024, and now it's being implemented for the first time on a production Rolls-Royce model.

The new SUV will retain the Cullinan's massive proportions, but will feature updated lighting and a redesigned front end. Daytime running lights are positioned under the hood's edge, while the main headlights sit closer to the grille. Signature rear-hinged doors and large wheels up to 23 inches remain, emphasizing the model's status.

The electric platform will be shared with future BMW models. Expect a dual-motor setup with around 700 horsepower and a battery exceeding 110 kWh. Range could reach up to 800 km, with fast charging significantly quicker than current BMW electric vehicles.
