Nissan confirms Xterra will return with new U.S.-built model in 2028

Nissan has released the first teaser image of the Xterra and confirmed that this model will remain in the brand's lineup.

The all-new, highly capable Xterra SUV will be manufactured in the United States, further strengthening Nissan's production footprint and expanding the brand's offerings for North American customers. The vehicle is scheduled to launch in late 2028.

Nissan is developing a family of five U.S.-built models on a new body-on-frame platform, which includes the all-new Xterra, as well as pickup trucks and SUVs under both the Nissan and INFINITI brands.

The company will announce additional information about the next-generation Xterra as its market launch approaches.
