New Nissan Skyline design teaser with GT-R influences
The first teaser reveals the front end of the new Skyline, which sports an aggressive look partly reminiscent of the 2023 Nissan Hyper Force concept. Flanking the recessed headlights are vertically oriented daytime running lights, while the hood features a pronounced central ridge. Instead of the Nissan badge, a new 'S' logo adorns the front edge of the Skyline's hood.
A second teaser highlights the bold four-section taillights, a design cue strongly associated with the GT-R, along with the classic 'Skyline' script on the rear wing. The flat side panels and three-section proportions also evoke a retro vibe.
Until the R35 GT-R emerged, the Skyline and GT-R names were inextricably linked. Originally, GT-R denoted the performance variant of earlier Skyline generations, but in a move to carve out a distinct identity with a more sporty coupe body style, the R35 GT-R dropped the Skyline name altogether.
