2026 Beijing Auto Show: A showcase of global automotive innovation

The 2026 Beijing Auto Show is poised to become the world's largest automotive exhibition, spanning 380,000 square meters and showcasing 1,451 vehicles, including 181 global premieres. Scheduled from April 24 to May 3, the event will serve as a key platform for unveiling new technologies and models. Journalists from Tarantas News will be on the ground to provide first-hand coverage of all the latest developments.

For the first time, the show will occupy two venues simultaneously: the China International Exhibition Centre and the Capital International Exhibition Centre. The total exhibition length will exceed 1.3 kilometers, utilizing 17 pavilions. The program is divided into three phases: press days, professional days, and public days. This format highlights the growing interest from both the industry and general visitors.

The auto show will feature both global brands—such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Ford—and major Chinese manufacturers, including Geely, Changan, Dongfeng, and Great Wall. Special attention will be given to new technology companies and EV brands like Nio, Xpeng, Li Auto, Xiaomi, and Huawei-related projects. Expect active showcases of electric vehicles, hybrids, and hydrogen solutions.

The scale of the exhibition directly reflects market dynamics: in 2025, China sold over 34 million vehicles, with electric cars accounting for more than 50% of sales. Exports exceeded 7 million units, cementing the country's leadership position. Meanwhile, the market is becoming increasingly competitive, as traditional brands lose ground and new EV companies demonstrate growth.

The 2026 Beijing Auto Show is more than just an exhibition; it's a reflection of a new reality. China has firmly established itself as the main hub of the global automotive industry, where trends, technologies, and the future of the entire sector are being shaped.
