2026 Lexus ES: Larger, More Luxurious with Hybrid and Electric Powertrains
The 2026 Lexus ES keeps its recognizable dynamic silhouette but gets a more expressive look. The headlights are sharper, there's a small spoiler on the trunk lid, and the hood lines flow smoothly into the bumper corners.
In profile, the car gets a striking black line that looks like an electric discharge, hidden door handles, and optional aerodynamic wheels. Dimensions have grown: length is up by 165 mm to 5140 mm, and the wheelbase is extended by 80 mm to 2950 mm. The rear features a full-width light bar and a new license plate frame.
Inside, the theme is “time as luxury,” with a light green main tone, a dual-screen setup (a 14-inch multimedia display and a separate passenger monitor), minimal physical buttons, and touch controls. It introduces a signature bamboo-scented aroma system for the first time. Equipment includes seat memory, heated and ventilated seats, a HUD, a Mark Levinson sound system, and Level 2 driver-assistance features.
The hybrid ES 300h is offered with a 2.0-liter gas engine (112 kW), an electric motor (83 kW), a combined output of 145 kW, and an E-CVT. There are also all-electric versions: the ES 350e and ES 500e, built on the new GA-K platform with a larger-capacity battery.
The 2026 Lexus ES is bigger, more tech-heavy, and more luxurious, with a powertrain lineup ranging from hybrids to full EVs, aligning with current trends in the Chinese market.
