GAC unveils Govy AirCab electric air taxi at Beijing Auto Show

At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, GAC unveiled the Govy AirCab, an electric air taxi concept. The aircraft is a multicopter with four lifting rotors, designed for urban passenger transport.

According to the data presented, the flight range is between 20 and 30 kilometers. Fast charging takes about 25 minutes, which should increase operational efficiency. Ride booking and control will be handled through a mobile app integrated into the digital ecosystem.

The cabin is a two-seat layout with separate, high-comfort seats. Light-colored trim is used, and it includes armrests, a minimalist control panel, and a screen. The concept targets short urban routes, including transfers and tourist trips.

The project also involves smart flight control systems. A computing platform with up to 500 TOPS performance is claimed, enabling obstacle detection and safe navigation.

The Govy AirCab remains a concept for now, with no details on production timelines or commercial deployment.
