Mercedes-Benz CLA EQ Shooting Brake: specs, pricing, EU launch timeline

After the successful debut of the all-electric CLA EQ Coupe, Mercedes-Benz will soon bring the CLA EQ Shooting Brake to the European market. Ordering is expected to open around December 2025, with first deliveries roughly in March 2026.

At launch, the CLA EQ Shooting Brake will be offered in three output levels, with prices starting from €49,900. The base CLA 200 Shooting Brake delivers 165 kW (224 hp) and uses a 58 kWh LFP battery.

Next up is the CLA 250+ Shooting Brake rated at 200 kW (272 hp) with an 85 kWh NMC pack, while the flagship CLA 350 4MATIC Shooting Brake offers 260 kW (354 hp) and the same 85 kWh NMC battery. The mix of LFP and NMC chemistries points to a clear split between value-focused and long-range trims.

Expected range for the three versions is 525 km, 761 km, and 730 km respectively. A CLA 45 S EQ AMG 4MATIC+ variant is likely to follow from the third quarter of 2026. On paper, these figures set the Shooting Brake up as a long-legged family electric model, with the 250+ standing out for endurance.

The CLA EQ Shooting Brake offers 455 liters of cargo space, expanding to up to 1,290 liters with the rear seats folded. The standard roof-rail system is rated for loads up to 85 kg, while maximum towing capacity reaches 1,800 kg for the CLA 350 4MATIC and 1,500 kg for the CLA 250+ EQ. Taken together, the load ratings and space make practicality a central theme rather than an add-on.
