Chery, Jaecoo, and Omoda Achieve 6.73% UK Market Share

Chery International UK has significantly strengthened its position in the UK. According to SMMT data, the combined market share of the Chery, Jaecoo, and Omoda brands hit 6.73% in April 2026. This is the company's first time breaking the 6% mark on British soil.

Jaecoo UK led the trio with 3,877 registrations and a 2.60% market share. Omoda UK captured 2.19% with 3,275 registrations, while Chery UK added 2,900 vehicles for a 1.94% share.

The growth followed a strong March, boosted by the UK's plate-change cycle. Omoda launched in the UK in August 2024, Jaecoo in January 2025, and Chery in August 2025.

The company is betting on localization, its dealer network, and electrified models—hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and EVs. New launches are planned for 2026. Later, the LEPAS brand is expected to arrive, with the LEPAS L8 confirmed as its first model.
