Maybach skipped Paris and London — and landed in Warsaw instead
Shanghai waited three years for company. Mercedes-Maybach finally opened a second atelier — and the choice of city raised plenty of eyebrows across Europe.
Shanghai had spent three years waiting for company. Now it finally has a European sibling — and it’s not Paris, not Milan, not even London. Mercedes-Maybach has opened its first European atelier in Warsaw. The address fits the occasion: Nowy Świat 6/12, the Royal Route, the most ceremonial axis of the Polish capital.
This is only the second Maybach Atelier in the world. Until now, the Shanghai location, opened back in October 2022, stood alone. Vienna and New York host so-called Maybach Lounges — a lighter, simpler format. A full atelier is a different story entirely.
The space covers around 500 square meters and is built less for displaying cars than for working one-on-one with buyers. In private rooms, the client configures the car from scratch — body color, leather texture, wood inlays, metal trim. Every stitch and every millimeter of finish is discussed face to face.
Three worlds of the three-pointed star now share a single roof. Alongside the Maybach space, the Warsaw venue hosts a showroom for Mercedes-AMG and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The company insists this isn’t a dealership. It’s a venue where cars meet art, fashion, and a premium lifestyle — closer to a gallery or a private club.
Why Warsaw, and not London or Munich? Mercedes is blunt about it: Poland is one of the brand’s most important markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The map of European luxury is being redrawn — right in front of us.
It was earlier reported that the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 V12 Edition was released as a limited series for Japan.
