Audi finally gives in — the new Q7 is almost here
Audi finally pulled the trigger. After more than a decade, the Q7 is being rewritten from scratch — and the first teaser is already here.
Audi has finally given in. After 11 years on the assembly line, the second-generation Q7 is bowing out — and the company has officially announced the third. The big SUV will make its debut in summer 2026. The Q7 story began back in 2005, when the model carved out Audi’s place in the large premium SUV segment. Now it’s being rewritten from scratch.
There are barely any details, and that’s by design. In a short statement, Audi talks about a sportier and visually more powerful design, premium materials, user-focused technology, and a broad spread of driving characteristics — from laid-back comfort to genuinely dynamic. Alongside the announcement, the company shared the first glimpse of the exterior — an S line trim finished in Alopiasblau Metallic. Not the whole car. Just a hint. And that was enough to set the internet buzzing.
But the Q7 won’t be flying solo. Audi is ramping up its model offensive and preparing the first-ever Q9 for its world premiere — the SUV that will sit at the very top of the lineup. Its debut is set for the start of the second half of 2026. The plan is clear: the Q7 stays the big family-friendly premium crossover, while the Q9 climbs one rung higher and takes the crown.
Earlier reports said the new Audi RS 5 will arrive in Europe at the end of June.
