Ferrari just turned its most powerful road car into a movie villain

Forget the classic Maranello red. Ferrari's most powerful road car just landed in a deep green and walnut combo that looks straight out of a film noir.

Bored of red Ferraris? Not today. The Tailor Made programme has given the SF90 XX Stradale a look that’ll make heads turn even in Maranello.

The bodywork wears a rare combination of glossy Verde Volterra and Nocciola Met 2021 — a deep green with a walnut accent. No fiery red here. The car looks like it walked straight off the set of a Hollywood noir — restrained, expensive, aloof.

The interior follows the same aesthetic. Black Alcantara, Ultrasuede Black, Sella-coloured inserts, contrasting black stitching. On the seats — an embroidered Cavallino Rampante, the prancing horse this whole thing is really about.

Under the hood — a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 plus three electric motors. Combined output: 1030 hp. Zero to 100 km/h — 2.3 seconds. To 200 km/h — 6.5 seconds. Dry numbers, but behind them stands the most powerful road-going Ferrari ever built.

Around Fiorano, the car laps in 1:17.30 — an official record for road-legal production cars. The SF90 XX Stradale is also the first XX Ferrari in history to wear licence plates and leave the racetrack. Before this, the programme existed only for track-only exclusives. Production is capped at 799 units. This one is unique.
