Mercedes Grand Limousine выехал в большой мир — и Испания не случайно стала точкой старта

Mercedes-Benz запустил серийный выпуск VLE в Витории. Первая модель на новой архитектуре, 800 В, до 8 мест, от 82 260 евро. И это только начало.

Mercedes-Benz did what he had been pursuing for years — and did it in the Basque Country. At the Vitoria plant, official serial production of the VLE has started — the first model on a completely new architecture for the brand’s vans. CEO Ola Källenius himself was at the launch, alongside Mercedes-Benz Vans chief Thomas Klein and Spanish officials.

This is no ordinary EV. The VLE is the pilot project of a new modular and scalable platform for Mercedes-Benz Vans — one that will eventually underpin the entire portfolio of the division. Vitoria earned the right to go first. Production of the VLE for China is being rolled out in parallel in Fuzhou.

Mercedes itself doesn’t even call the VLE a van — it’s a Grand Limousine. The pitch: passenger-car comfort packed into a full-size MPV. Up to eight seats inside. Over 700 km of range on the WLTP cycle. In Germany, the five-seat VLE 300 starts at €82,260. Cheap? Nobody promised that.

Underneath sits an 800-volt architecture — the kind that turns ultra-fast charging from a marketing line into a real-world benefit. Preliminary consumption sits at 18.4–20.7 kWh per 100 km. Everything on board runs through MB.OS — the operating system Mercedes is now rolling out to its vans as well.
