Dacia has refreshed the engine lineup for the new Duster, and conversion specialist Intax promptly rolled out taxi-focused solutions to match. The crossover now offers four EU6e-bis-certified powertrains, including a new Hybrid 155 that replaces the previous Hybrid 140. The setup pairs a 109-hp petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery, enabling up to 80% electric running in the city. A consumption figure of just 4.6 l/100 km makes it especially appealing for commercial duty — which is precisely why Intax has prepared a comprehensive set of adaptations.

The program covers a signature beige wrap, optional TPU protection, taximeter pre-installation, an emergency button, interior lining and a roof-mounted checker taxi sign. Thanks to the RSY system, all equipment can be removed without trace. The packages also add radio preparation, a central cabin lighting system and operating instructions. A console for traditional taximeters and a mounting solution for license plates are available as options.

Pricing depends on the wrap: from 3,150 euros or 1,490 euros with the wrap, or 2,790 and 1,090 euros without it. The packages are available for all Duster trims, including versions with a turbocharged engine and the newfangled Hybrid-G 150 4x4.

For the taxi market, the Duster looks like a rational choice: efficient, affordable, easy to service and now officially tailored for fleet work — and in stop-start traffic, its tendency to glide on electric power should make rides quieter and smoother.
