Dacia Bigster Just Lost Its Family-SUV Innocence
Nobody expected the family Bigster to flirt with sport mode. But H&R just dropped a suspension kit that drops the SUV — and changes everything.
The Bigster suddenly turned from a calm family SUV into a candidate for canyon-carving duty. German tuner H&R just rolled out a suspension kit aimed squarely at the Dacia Bigster 1.8 Hybrid 155 front-wheel drive — for the DJF chassis from the 2025 model year onward.
The lowering springs shave 30 millimetres off the ride height. Both front and rear. What does that buy you? According to H&R, a lowered centre of gravity kills the body roll that usually has SUVs leaning through corners, the steering turns sharper, responses get more direct. And all of it — without sacrificing long-distance comfort or payload. The factory rating stays exactly where it was.
Visually the effect is even more striking. The lowered stance makes the Bigster sit lower, look meaner, and emphasises the proportions — the car stops looking like the crossover parked next door. And here’s where it gets interesting: H&R is also prepping Trak+ wheel spacers made from high-tensile aluminium. Silver or black anodised, starting at 10 mm per axle. The Bigster finally gets that planted, low-and-wide stance enthusiasts usually chase with a toolbox in the garage.
What does it all cost? The springs go for €358 including VAT at German RRP. The spacers start at €78. Every part comes with the proper certifications and is made in Germany. By tuning standards — practically a steal. So if your family Bigster feels a little too family — H&R already has the answer.
