BYD Atto 2 Comfort: bigger battery, more power, 430 km WLTP

BYD has broadened the Atto 2 lineup with a new range-topping Comfort trim. While the Active and Boost versions pair a 45.1 kWh battery with a 177 hp motor, the Comfort steps up to a 65 kWh pack and a 224 hp unit. Claimed WLTP range reaches 430 km.

Priced at 36,690 euros, the BYD Atto 2 Comfort is 5,000 euros above the Active and 3,000 euros above the Boost. Much of its equipment mirrors the Boost, but it adds rear privacy glass, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a multi-link rear suspension. In this configuration, the drive selector moves to a steering-column stalk, a change that should feel natural in daily use. The switch to a multi-link rear setup also suggests a more composed ride on uneven surfaces.

Official images and the full specification are expected later. The brand is also preparing a BYD Atto 2 DM-i hybrid. For buyers focused on economical everyday driving, this new version looks like a sensible, well-judged addition to the range.
