Stellantis Pro One unveils V2G-ready vans and factory customization at Solutrans 2025

At Solutrans 2025 in Lyon, Stellantis Pro One unveiled an updated commercial-vehicle strategy built around deeper electrification, expanded services, and—crucially—customization baked into the production line. The company rolled out a range of electric and combustion-powered vans from Citroën, Peugeot, Opel, and Fiat Professional, including the e-Berlingo, E-Expert, Vivaro Sportive, and e-Ducato. It’s a pragmatic mix that points to real-world fleet needs.

The headline technology was V2G on the Peugeot E-Expert. In practice, it’s bidirectional charging: the battery can draw power and feed it back to the grid, helping balance demand and integrate renewable generation. For corporate fleets, Stellantis is participating in the EVVE project with support from the EU Innovation Fund. The company’s energy division ensures compatibility with DREEV, an EDF subsidiary, and a commercial launch in France is slated for the second quarter of 2026. With timelines and partners in place, V2G here reads less like a buzzword and more like a tool fleets can plan around.

Another focal point is the Custom-Fit program: factory modifications tailored to specific tasks with controlled quality, safety, and lead times. A network of more than 550 certified partners covers a broad spectrum of conversions, from specialized vans to more complex configurations. On the stand, the brand also debuted the modular SRS system for the E-Expert, designed to let users reposition shelving quickly without special tools, along with demonstrations of renewable-fuel solutions for the Berlingo and Ducato. Bringing customization into the production flow could help rein in delays and the variability that often accompany aftermarket builds, making transitions smoother for busy fleets.
