The electric Lynk & Co 20 is finally taking orders before launch
China gets first dibs on the revamped electric crossover, with 800-volt hardware, 6C charging and a final price still under wraps.
Lynk & Co is no longer just teasing its new 20 electric crossover — it is now charging for a place in line. From September 8, pre-orders are open in China, and buyers can reserve a car for just 99 yuan. The full market launch is due before the end of September, but the number everyone wants is still missing — final prices have not yet been announced.
There is also a sweetener for early buyers. Participants are promised a home charger valued at 3999 yuan. There is a catch, though: paying the 99 yuan reservation fee alone is not enough. Buyers must place the final order and take delivery of the vehicle.
As for the hardware, this stage brings few surprises. Lynk & Co had already confirmed an 800-volt architecture, 6C charging at up to 460 kW and lidar paired with the Qianli Haohan H5 driver-assistance suite for every version. Charging from 10 to 80% should take about 12 minutes. Not long ago, figures like these sounded almost outrageous; now they are becoming standard equipment.
The rear electric motor produces 245 kW, or roughly 333 hp. The model is offered with batteries of about 61.5 and 70 kWh, with CLTC range of up to 545 and 630 km respectively. The crossover is 4495 mm long and has a 2755 mm wheelbase.
The Lynk & Co 20 is a heavily updated Z20, known in Europe as the 02. Now the biggest question is the price. September will show how much buyers are being asked to pay for the move to 800 V, 6C charging and standard lidar.
