Only 100 will exist and this Audi A6 wears black everywhere
Audi has turned the A6 into a dark, limited-run special for South Korea, pairing 272 hp with quattro, rear-wheel steering and a production cap of just 100 cars.
Just 100 cars, and that is the whole run. Audi has launched the A6 45 TFSI quattro S line Black Edition in South Korea, turning its familiar business sedan into a genuinely rare special. It is based on the A6 45 TFSI quattro, but the real hook is not the hardware. It is the way the car looks.
There is black almost everywhere. The mirror caps, window trim, Audi emblems, door handles and exhaust outlets all receive black or dark-chrome finishes. Audi also adds 21-inch Audi Sport wheels and red brake calipers. The visual treatment does not stop there: Matrix LED headlights, second-generation digital OLED taillights and a panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency are all included.
And the mechanicals? Under the hood sits a 2.0-liter TFSI producing 272 hp and around 400 Nm of torque. It works with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. The sedan reaches 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h. S sport suspension and all-wheel steering are also part of the package, so this is clearly more than a cosmetic exercise.
The cabin gets the same treatment. Ahead of the driver is an 11.9-inch digital cockpit, the center stack carries a 14.5-inch infotainment display, and the passenger gets a separate 10.9-inch screen. Carbon-fiber trim and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system round things out. The price is 94.9 million won.
There is one catch for anyone hoping to get one elsewhere. Audi has announced the Black Edition only for South Korea, and the entire production run is limited to 100 cars. The company has not announced deliveries of this batch to other markets.
