Service note: 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV intermediate steering shaft bolt torque to 33 lb-ft

On some 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV SUVs, an additional tightening of the steering intermediate shaft bolt is required. The condition has been identified on just four vehicles registered in the United States, which shows how limited the scope is.

The repair is provided at no cost to owners and is handled during routine maintenance. The job is straightforward and brief, taking roughly a third of an hour of a technician’s time, so it’s unlikely to disrupt anyone’s schedule.

The task itself is simple: torque the specified bolt on the intermediate steering shaft to 33 lb-ft (about 45 N·m).

Importantly, this applies only to the extended-length Escalade ESV and does not affect standard 2025 Escalade models. For most drivers, it reads as a routine service note rather than a broader model-wide concern.
