2026 GMC Canyon AT4X now on sale in Mexico: price and key off-road specs
General Motors has officially opened sales of the 2026 GMC Canyon AT4X in Mexico. Positioned as the most hardcore off-road derivative in the Canyon family, the AT4X now serves as the lineup’s flagship, replacing the previous AT4 trim. Trucks are already available at GMC dealers and are shipped from GM’s Wentzville, Missouri plant.
Configured for local conditions, the AT4X features unique wheels and tires along with a revised suspension setup. It rides on an off-road suspension with a three-inch lift, high-performance dampers, reinforced control arms, and dedicated front and rear axles. According to GM, the AT4X package targets maximum capability beyond the pavement while maintaining comfort and modern tech. The spec comes across as a serious trail build that still respects everyday use.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.7-liter gasoline engine rated at 310 hp and 583 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is standard, with a two-speed transfer case, four selectable drive modes, and a towing package. In Mexico, the GMC Canyon AT4X is priced at 1,345,900 pesos, positioning it among the top off-road contenders in the 2026 midsize pickup segment.
