Rimac Nevera R Founder's Edition: inside the 10-car club
Rimac has taken the notion of a limited run to a new extreme: the Nevera R Founder’s Edition will be built in just 10 cars, and every one was allocated within a week. Yet the real point of this version isn’t the rarity. Through the Founder’s Club package, owners are promised a full ecosystem of privileges and experiences, including personal interaction with brand founder Mate Rimac.
As Rimac frames it, this is a way to thank those who backed the company in its early days. Club members receive direct access to the Bugatti Rimac headquarters, priority invitations to private previews and track sessions, and the chance to attend record attempts. Owners are also said to be involved in strategy discussions and to have influence over future models. The setup feels less like an options list and more like a private members’ circle.
The cars themselves will be just as personal. Configuration begins with a one-on-one session with Mate Rimac and the chief designer to choose trims, materials, colors, and unique elements. A distinctive touch is the asymmetrical seat upholstery inspired by Mate’s own car. Even delivery is part of the theater: the founder will hand over the keys in person and join the driving instruction alongside the factory test team. That kind of handover turns ownership into an experience, not merely a transaction.
Technically, the Nevera R remains one of the most extreme electric cars on sale: four motors, 2,107 hp, 0–60 mph in 1.66 seconds, a 268.2-mph top speed, and 24 confirmed records set within a year.
