Novitec launches sport exhaust lineup for the Ferrari 12Cilindri V12

After the debut of the Ferrari 12Cilindri, many brand loyalists noticed that the new flagship’s naturally aspirated V12 sounded more restrained than expected. Tougher noise and emissions rules are to blame. Stepping into that gap, Germany’s Novitec has unveiled a lineup of sport exhaust systems for the model, aiming to bring back some character without crossing regulatory lines.

Novitec offers exhausts crafted from stainless steel, Inconel, or Inconel finished with 999‑fine gold plating. The setup features valved silencers that let owners tailor the car’s voice. There are two flavors: Sport, which broadens the volume range, and Race, which pushes the soundtrack to its most assertive. For those who prefer a discreet look, OEM‑style tips keep the factory appearance intact.

To keep the electronics happy, the package includes Tectronic and Gtronic modules, while a Switchtronic unit lets drivers manage the valves via the Manettino or a remote. An available X‑pipe evens out exhaust gas pulses, and 100‑cell sport catalytic converters cut flow resistance.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri runs a 6.5‑liter naturally aspirated V12 rated at 819 hp and spinning up to 9,500 rpm. The upgrades slot into a broader tuning approach focused on sharpening response and enriching the car’s voice without altering the engine’s underlying architecture. It’s a measured path that preserves the grand tourer’s essence while giving the V12 back some of its theater.
