Germany remains Turkey’s largest automotive export market, Jan–Nov 2025

Germany once again emerged as the largest export market for Turkey’s automotive industry over January–November 2025, according to industry data. During this period, shipments of vehicles, components and systems from Turkey to Germany reached $6.14 billion, a 39 percent increase year on year.

The German market accounted for about 16 percent of Turkey’s total automotive exports, reinforcing Germany’s role as the sector’s key destination. Overall, in the first eleven months of 2025, Turkey’s auto industry exported $37.8 billion worth of products, retaining its lead among all of the country’s export sectors. The figures align with the year’s narrative of Europe-led demand shaping results.

Europe remained the main outlet: 72.6 percent of deliveries went to EU countries. Beyond Germany, notable growth was recorded in Spain, France and Belgium. Turkey’s auto components businesses added meaningful heft to the tally, with $14.4 billion in exports—38.3 percent of the total. It’s a reminder that parts and systems often anchor the broader export story.

Industry representatives noted that cooperation between Turkey and Germany extends beyond trade into development, research and supply chains. This is strengthening the position of Turkish manufacturers in the European market, where demand is driven both by high-volume models and by vehicles that set benchmarks in their segments—a balance that helps sustain the sector’s momentum.
