2026 Honda Accord keeps its Best Family Sedan crown with smarter tech and a hybrid-focused lineup

Honda Accord retains its Best Family Sedan crown for the ninth year running and, since 2017, has also been recognized 14 times with Good Housekeeping's Best Family Car award. Such consistency suggests the sedan continues to meet the practical needs of families without losing its polish.

For 2026, the refreshed Accord leans into modern tech with a large, easy-to-use 9-inch color touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. Honda has also sharpened the look: all Sport Hybrid trims receive new black accents, while the turbocharged Accord SE now rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with an assertive five-spoke design. The darker trim gives the car a cleaner, sportier stance, and the wheels visually tighten up the profile without tipping into excess.

The 2026 Accord range includes six trims: LX and SE with a turbocharged engine, plus Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring with hybrid-electric powertrains. More than half of Accord sales in North America come from the hybrid-electric variants, underscoring how central electrification has become to Honda’s strategy—and how buyers are already treating the hybrid as the heart of the lineup.
