ARTA GT FL5: a SUPER GT‑inspired, road‑legal Civic Type R
ARTA has officially unveiled the ARTA GT FL5—the most extreme road‑legal iteration of the Civic Type R, inspired by SUPER GT race cars. The premiere took place at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, where AUTOBACS Racing Team AGURI showed the finished car and announced sales of a limited upgrade package capped at 20 examples.
The aim was to bring the character and aesthetics of a GT500 racer to a production model. Development was led by motorsport icons: Aguri Suzuki and Keiichi Tsuchiya oversaw the overall architecture and component selection, while active driver Tomoki Nojiri handled track testing and final tuning.
The GT FL5 features a thoroughly reworked aero package: an enlarged front intake increases downforce and improves cooling, widened fenders with integrated ducts refine airflow, and a substantial diffuser paired with a swan‑neck rear wing enhances high‑speed stability. The turbocharger, suspension, and chassis layout were also revised—everything geared toward maximum efficiency on track with reassuring composure on the road. The spec reads focused rather than flashy, the kind of blueprint that rewards precise driving.
The ARTA GT FL5 package is priced at 13.5 million yen and includes a complete set of exterior and technical upgrades that mirror the concept car.
